Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and who we share it with. Last updated 23 October 2026.

Who we are

WanderWage is run by Spellbound Communications Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 08216443), whose registered office is Maulak Chambers, The Centre, High Street, Halstead, Essex, CO9 2AJ. Spellbound Communications Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions about your information, contact us at hello@wanderwage.co.uk.

If you're looking for work

  • No account is needed, and we don't ask for your name or contact details (unless you choose to join our mailing list, below).
  • Your location: if you tap "use my location", your device's position is used in your browser to sort jobs by distance. It isn't sent to or stored by WanderWage.
  • Saved jobs and saved searches are stored on your own device (in your browser's storage), not on our servers. That includes the list of jobs each saved search has already shown you, which is how we can say what's new.
  • Usage statistics: we record anonymous events, such as a search being made, a map opened, or an Apply button clicked, along with the job and search mode involved. These records contain no name, contact details, IP address or tracking cookie, and we use them only to understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • Applying for a job takes you to the employer's email or website, or to the job board an advert came from. What you send them is handled under their privacy policy, not ours.

If you join our mailing list

  • We store your email address, the date you signed up, where on the site you signed up, and the wording you agreed to, so we have a record of your consent.
  • We'll only use it to email you WanderWage updates: new jobs, quick earns and money-saving tips. We won't sell it or share it with anyone else to market to you.
  • Every email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by contacting hello@wanderwage.co.uk.
  • We haven't started sending emails yet. Before we do, we'll update this page to name the email service we use, as it will handle your address on our behalf.

If you message a Pitch in host

  • We store what you send: your name, email, phone number if you give it, the skills you choose, when you're free, who's coming, whether you have a dog or a self-contained van, and your message.
  • We pass these details to that host by email so they can reply to you directly. We don't share them with anyone else or use them for marketing.
  • Hosts' email addresses and exact locations aren't shown on the site. Their reply comes from their own email address.
  • We delete messages once they've been passed on and are no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

If you contact us

  • We store your name, email address, what your message is about and your message, so we can read it and reply.
  • We only use these details to reply to you. We don't share them or add you to any mailing list.
  • We delete messages once they're no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

If you send us feedback

  • We store the options you pick, anything you write, the page you sent it from, and your email address only if you choose to give one.
  • Feedback is anonymous unless you add your email. We use it only to decide what to improve, and to reply to you if you asked us to.
  • We don't share feedback or use it for marketing, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

If you post a job

  • If you attach a job pack (PDF), we store it with your listing and show it only once the listing is approved. Don't include anyone's personal details in it that you wouldn't want published.
  • We store the details you submit: job title, business name, description, town and postcode, dates, pay, accommodation and pitch details, and the email address or web address for applications.
  • The application email address or web address is shown publicly on your listing so people can apply. Please use a work address.
  • We use your postcode to place the job on the map. To do this, the postcode is sent to postcodes.io, a free postcode lookup service.
  • Our team reviews listings before they're published, and may reject or remove any listing.
  • We keep listings while they're relevant, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.

Listings from other job boards

Some listings are imported from job boards (Adzuna, Reed and Jooble) through their public APIs. They contain the information those boards publish. When you apply, you go to that board's site.

Services we use

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and its database. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
  • Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, so your browser requests them from Google.
  • OpenStreetMap supplies the map images on the Save money and fuel prices pages, and when you open a map of jobs, so your browser requests them from OpenStreetMap's servers.
  • postcodes.io looks up employers' postcodes and town names, as described above. On the fuel prices page, a town or postcode you type is also sent from your browser to postcodes.io to find it on the map.
  • Fuel prices come from the UK government's Fuel Finder open data. No information about you is sent to it.

Cookies

The public site doesn't use cookies. The admin area, used only by our team, sets a single cookie that keeps the reviewer signed in.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact hello@wanderwage.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
